I have a customer doing 12 cottage style homes with Granite (http://tanbrown.org) tile kitchens (no, I can not convince them to use Slabs (http://www.VerdeUbatuba.com) ). In the past I have done their cottage homes with 12x12 black ab. honed. Maintenance is a nightmere and (http://maplered.com) they are considering other options. They would still like to go honed, just maybe another color. They are also interested in the satin or antiqued finish, but I can't find that available in Granite (http://tanbrown.org) Tiles (http://www.g682.net) .
My questions are: -What is the best way for me to hone Granite (http://tanbrown.org) Tiles (http://www.g682.net) ? -Would it be too much work for me to put a antique finish on the Tiles (http://www.g682.net) they chose?
I have successfully tried honing a couple pieces with various pads, but I would like to know how you guys do it before I take on 800 square feet.
These customers would ideally like to use the antique finish, but if it is a ton of work they probably won't pay for it. I was thinking of using something to roughen the surface, and (http://maplered.com) then use the carbon brushes. Have any of you tried this on Tiles (http://www.g682.net) before? _________________ Kris Jorgensen, SFA Natural Stone Interiors Mukilteo, WA
